Beijing, October 10 - Comments from ZHU Lin(CHN) and LI Ziwei(CHN) after their completion of the Women's singles Round of 32.
ZHU Lin(CHN) - Winner
On her shape:
"I'm not in the best shape because of the hip joint injury. As a professional athlete, I should overcome the difficulty and recover within a short period. I have been doing exercises systematically to ensure I am in good shape."
On the court:
"The court felt very comfortable as soon as I entered the venue and I felt like I was playing in the real Olympic Games. I felt a little draft but my performance was not affected by it. I had aleady practiced here two days ago so I was able to adapt to the court conditions quickly.
On the new coach:
"After the former men's team coach joined the women's team, strength became one of the key points in our training. We learnt a lot from the men's techniques. I'm not good at strength, but I'll step up a gear and adapt to the new style as soon as possible."
On the injury:
"I hurt my hip joint before the World Championshiops. It didn't get better even after the pain killer. That's why I hesitated sometimes when running in the court."
LI Ziwei(CHN) - Loser
On the match:
"I was so excited to join this tournament and I hope to learn a lot from it. Winning or losing is not important for me. I learned a lot even though I lost the match. I felt I did well enough."
On the court:
"The court (surface) is a little bit harder, but the light is good."
