(Beijing, November 27) The "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 Artistic Gymnastics International Invitational Tournaments will open at the National Indoor Stadium on November 28. A total of 104 gymnasts from 21 countries and regions will compete in 12 events including the men's team and women's individual all-around.

So far the participating teams have all arrived in Beijing for pre-event training. On the opening day there will be competitions in the men's and women's qualification rounds; the women's individual all-around finals and men's team finals will be held on November 29. After a rest day on November 30, the finals in the 10 individual events will be contested on December 1-3.

This afternoon, with volunteers, security, logistic personnel, TV broadcasters, the ritual girls, and technicians of lighting and sound equipment all in place, the competition venue and all the gymnastic apparatus underwent the final adjustment before the tournament proper.

According to the requirements by the International Olympic Committee and the commitment by Beijing in bidding for the 2008 Olympics, the "Good Luck Beijing" Sport Events serve as a test run of the venues and supporting facilities for next year's Beijing Olympic Games. They also offer great opportunities for athletes to gain experience through such rehearsals organized strictly in accordance with Olympic standards.
